A published writer, award-winning filmmaker, and record producer, Michael D. Covitt is Chairman and CEO of Sabatier Film Group, LLC, and is the Producer and Executive Producer of the documentary film entitled “333.” He is President and Chief Operating Officer of The Sabatier Group, Inc., a global security think-tank and consulting firm, and Chairman and CEO of Malian Manuscript Foundation. Covitt served on the Advisory Council of The George Washington University Business School’s Digital Marketing Program and served as an Adjunct Lecturer at New York University’s Business School of Continuing and Professional Studies, where he taught a course on “The Causes and Mitigation of Global Terrorism,” including the peaceful resolution of conflict.

A financier and entrepreneur with broad expertise, Covitt has forged strong ties in several fields, including global security, new media, the Wall Street arena, and the entertainment business. Covitt served as an advisor to the U.S. Department of Defense regarding the global terrorism threat facing our planet in this 21st century. He served on the Public Safety and Justice Advisory Board of RAND Corporation, the original “think-tank” that provides objective analysis and practical solutions to both the public and private sectors. Mr. Covitt launched the first computer lab in an impoverished area in the United States to bridge the digital divide, serving as a model for underprivileged schools nationwide.

Michael Covitt owned a seat on the American Stock Exchange, operating under the firm name of Covitt & Company. He served as Vice-President and a member of the Executive Committee of Abel, Gwirtzman, and Co., Inc., and as Vice-President of the Brokerage Division of Butler Capital Corporation, both members of the New York and American Stock Exchanges. Mr. Covitt was an Associate Member of the New York Stock Exchange, held a seat on the New York Futures Exchange (a subsidiary of the New York Stock Exchange), and served as a marketing consultant to the Futures Exchange.

Covitt was Chairman and CEO of Benchmark Recordings Inc. and Benchmark Entertainment Corporation. Earlier, he served as President of International Talent Consultants Corporation and was a Founder and Director of Hologram Records. He was the Executive Producer and largest stakeholder of Rock Wars Company, which produced “rock n’ roll” concerts atop the heliport of The World Trade Center and in the Grand Canyon to further world peace. Rock Wars Company also published a book, distributed by Doubleday, detailing the events leading up to and including those crucial concerts.

No stranger to The Fourth Estate, Mr. Covitt had been quoted in various media worldwide. He is a Member of the Yale Club of New York City and has been a member of the Harvard Club of New York City, and the National Press Club in Washington, D.C. He is writing an autobiographical memoir entitled “Creating Courage.”
